Words can take any shape, as long as each letter stays adjacent to the next. Words can overlap, but only where their letters match. A word can never overlap itself.
Touch:
Tap a word in the Word Bank to select it.
Drag your finger through the grid to place the word.
Mouse:
Click a word in the Word Bank to select it.
Click a grid tile to place the first letter.
Move your mouse in a straight line to preview the word extending that way.
Click again to lock that stretch in and bend a new direction.
Keyboard:
Tab / Shift+Tab to navigate the Word Bank.
Enter to select the focused word.
Arrow keys to move the preview of the first letter.
Enter to place the first letter.
Arrow keys to place the remaining letters, one per press.
Delete or Backspace to undo the last letter placed.
Escape to cancel and send the word back to the Word Bank.
Placements don't have to be right on the first try — a word placed wrong just shows a red outline instead of being blocked. You win when every word fits with no red outlines, and the grid's border glows green.
